n  Students have new spelling words.



We are practicing fours. Study the fours; for example, 4x1=4, 4x2=8 all the way up to 4x12=48 and the related division facts.

Homework for the week of March 13, 2017


n Every student needs to fill out a reading log weekly!  This is a school wide goal

n  Since this is a short week, students will not have new spelling words.  There will be a spelling quiz on 20 of the fry words.  The students will bring home a list of the 20 words today.

n  Thursday, March 16th is a minimum day.  Dismissal will be at 12:45.  There will be no school on Friday, March 17th.

We are practicing sixes. Study the sixes; for example, 6x1=6, 6x2=12 all the way up to 6x12=72 and the related division facts.

n  Every student needs to fill out a reading log weekly!  This is a school wide goal

n  Parent Teacher Conferences: Thank you to the parents who were able to meet.  Parents, if you were unable to meet for conferences, please let me know a time and date that would work to discuss your child’s progress.

n  We have finished another compliment chain!!!!! To celebrate this, the students can bring in an electronic, if it is okay with you, a small blanket and a small to medium stuffy.  The students can do this on Friday of this week.


We are practicing sevens. Study the nines; for example, 9x1=9, 9x2=18 all the way up to 9x12=108 and the related division facts.

n  Since we have another short week, the students will only have 8 spelling words this week.  Next week, we will go back to 12 weekly words.

Homework for the week of February 13, 2017

n  Every student needs to fill out a reading log weekly!  This is a school wide goal

n  Parent Teacher Conferences: Thursday, February 16th and Friday the 17th,!  Please sign up for a time and day on the windows by main office.

n  Due to Parent/Teacher conferences, there will be a minimum day on Thursday, Feb. 16th and no school on Friday, February 17th.  Also, no school on Monday, February the 20th because of President’s Day!


Tuesday, February  the 14th is Valentine’s Day.  The students can bring in Valentines for their classmates, if they would like.   We can not have a party, nor can we have candy.  They can share Valentine cards though.


We are practicing eights. Study the eights; for example, 8x1=8, 8x2=16 all the way up to 8x12=96 and the related division facts.

  • Parents/Caregivers must select I am a Parent of a Student from the registration drop down box in order to access the parent course.
3.  Click Register Button
4.  Click Launch Course

5.  There will be a Certificate of Completion issued at the end of the course

Closing Thought: "Don't ask kids what they want to be when they grow up, but what problems do they want to solve. This changes the conversation from who do I want to work for to what do I need to be able to do to do that?"
